Ferrari World Abu Dhabi aimed to ensure the theme park's continuous operation and uphold its global reputation for safety and excellence.

The park, home to the fastest roller coaster in the world, needed to minimize operational downtime while maintaining the highest safety standards for its millions of annual visitors. Our consulting team was engaged to identify potential operational risks and vulnerabilities that could disrupt daily functions. Ferrari World, being a key attraction and an iconic global brand, could not afford any extended closures or safety lapses. The goal was to implement robust strategies to guarantee seamless, year-round availability and maintain Ferrari’s commitment to excellence in all facets of the business.

Our team was tasked with performing a comprehensive analysis of Ferrari World’s business model and operational workflows. We worked closely with various departments - HR, Operations, IT, Marketing, Risk Management, and Hospitality—to identify weaknesses and areas of improvement. The challenge was to balance the park’s need for continuous operations with the stringent safety requirements of a high-adrenaline, high-risk environment. This meant implementing proactive maintenance procedures, disaster recovery plans, and staff training programs to mitigate risks.

To achieve these goals, we undertook a comprehensive approach, addressing all aspects of Ferrari World’s operations to ensure seamless execution and safety while enhancing business continuity.

Initial Research & Process Mapping:

We conducted detailed consultations with all department heads to gain a thorough understanding of Ferrari World’s daily operations. This included assessing the maintenance protocols for their high-speed rides, data security practices in IT, and customer experience strategies.

Development of Backup Strategies:

In collaboration with the Operations and Risk Management departments, we designed contingency plans to cover every facet of park operations. This included creating backup roles for key stakeholders, implementing off-site server backups, and reinforcing maintenance schedules for rides like Formula Rossa.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

We integrated feedback from all departments to create a cohesive strategy that ensured both operational efficiency and safety. This approach allowed for seamless implementation of safety protocols and continuity plans that extended across all aspects of the business, from visitor experiences to behind-the-scenes operations.
